Boat Transport: Shilshole to Lake Union/DD Prep

  • For those who are new to sailing and need to learn the basics of deploying the boat, how to rig controls, and how to trim sails.

Boat:  R/22 "PATRIOT X"  Sail Number 2201

Moving “Patriot X” from shilshole to a slip in Lake Union (Location TBD). We will be traveling through the locks and may stop at Ballard Mill Marina (where the team storage unit is located) to adjust inventory in the boat.

Moving through the locks can be quick or take 2-3 hours, there is no telling and traffic dependent. 

This is a separate event from the DD race tomorrow. There may be an opportunity to practice before putting the boat away for the night, so be prepared to sail.
