The Eastport Yacht Club Boomerang Race is a unique overnight sailing challenge held annually on the Chesapeake Bay. Starting and finishing in Annapolis, the race follows a “boomerang”-shaped course that takes boats down the Bay and back again, testing crews with changing wind, tide, and nighttime navigation.
Open to racing and cruising boats of all sizes, the Boomerang offers both serious competition and a fun, low-key atmosphere. With a midnight finish under the stars and a post-race breakfast back at EYC, the event has become a favorite among regional sailors looking for a midsummer test of skill, endurance, and teamwork.
Whether you’re racing to win or just to make it back before dawn, the Boomerang is a Chesapeake classic.
