Cabrillo 3 race is a coastal race that is estimated to be 50nm.
Since this is a coastal distance race, conditions may very and the race can potentially take 24hrs to complete if the wind shuts down early. On the other end of the spectrum this can be a wet and bumpy race if conditions are breezy, and if it’s too windy out we will make the decision not to race.
Plan to meet at Cabrillo Isle Marina at 0900 and to be off the dock by 0945.
First warning is 1100 on the west side of Shelter Island.
All of the foul weather and safety gear will be provided.
You will need to bring a headlamp, refill-able water bottle, hats, non marking shores, and sunglasses.
